Shu Qi Jaded to Sex and Violence
At the Cannes Film Festival for the first time as part of a jury on the red carpet, Taiwanese actress Shu Qi thoroughly displayed her spellbinding appeal. In an interview with the media after the award ceremony, Shu expressed that while she learnt a lot from the experience of being part of the festival jury, she has become jaded to sex and violence after watching the competing films.
As a judge, Shu had to watch films and discuss them with the rest of the panel. As a result, she had only managed to catch two hours of sleep over two days, and had to decline the invitation to the post festival celebration. Having been to too many events lately, Shu said her cheek muscles had cramps from smiling.
