Jay Chou’s Pandaman Estimated to Rack in US$36 million

With a reputation guaranteed to bring in box office ratings, multi-hyphenate Taiwanese performer, Jay Chou, invested a lump sum of US$4.7 million into his first television drama series production, Pandaman. Although the drama has yet to be broadcasted, Jay is already pocketing money from the licensing fees paid for by television stations that are interested in airing his drama series.
Estimated to be racking in US$36 million from his new venture, Jay's monetary returns are comparable to that earned by Disney's cartoon merchandise. The 30-year-old who will be guest-starring in the show as a cop said, "This is not just a drama series. It can be called a movie."
