Jay Chou Denies Recent Rumours
Taiwanese superstar Jay Chou spoke out against the recent rash of rumours about him at an event to promote his science-fiction action drama "Pandamen" event on Feb27. This was the first he had spoken to the media and his fans at length since wrapping up his television directorial debut in "Pandamen". Chou called Taiwanese rapper Dog G, who wrote a song that allegedly insulted his manliness, "scum of society" and called upon close friend Devon Song to continue scolding Dog G as Chou "[did] not want to dignify Dog G by rebuking him personally".
Chou, 31, also addressed singer Devin Wu's admission on popular Taiwanese television talk show "KangXi Arrives" that she gave her virginity to him when she was just 16. "Has she gone crazy?" said an exasperated Chou. Chou claims that he only sent Wu, who was a label-mate at the time, home on a few occasions but never dated her. He believes that she only made the statement for the sake of the programme, on the behest of the show's producers.
