‘Little Nyonya’ Wins Best Drama, Best Supporting Actress

SINGAPORE : It wasn't a clean sweep for "The Little Nyonya" at the Star Awards on Sunday but the popular drama still managed to add another four trophies to its haul, including two Best Supporting Actress awards for Xiang Yun and Ng Hui. It had already snagged seven awards in the Professional Categories earlier in the week. "Why are there two winners?" asked a surprised Ng Hui, who played long-suffering maid Ah Tao in "The Little Nyonya".
"The win is very unexpected as all my fellow co-stars had put up great performances... This is dedicated to my daughter, Yi Xin, who is celebrating her birthday today," said three-time winner Xiang Yun.
