Bae Yong-joon in Mystery Visit to Presidential Office

Actor Bae Yong-joon visited Cheong Wa Dae on Tuesday, reportedly meeting spokesman Lee Dong-kwan and deputy spokeswoman Kim Eun-hye, and many at the presidential office itself were curious why. One official at the presidential office said the visit might have something to do with President Lee Myung-bak's visit to Japan this coming Sunday.
Bae is an extremely popular figure in Japan, especially among women, and runs a traditional Korean restaurant in Tokyo. That leads to speculation that Bae might be given some role in one of Lee's projects, to make Korean food more popular abroad.
