Jessica Michibata Confirms Relationship with F-1 Driver Jenson Button
Model Jessica Michibata, 24, has admitted for the first time that she is seeing British Formula One driver Jenson Button, 29. She was speaking at an event in Tokyo to promote satellite TV channel WOWOW’s upcoming broadcast of an environmental documentary - called "HOME sora kara mita chikyu" in Japanese - in which Michibata provides the Japanese narration.
While the pair’s relationship is common knowledge in the racing world and photos of the couple were published in a tabloid magazine in January, Michibata had refrained from making any public comments, but at the event, she confirmed their relationship was going well. Michibata first met Button when she traveled to Europe to report for a magazine on the Monaco Grand Prix in 2006, and the pair reportedly began seeing each other last fall. Michibata has gone to see Button in action three times in the 2009 Formula One season which began in March, and Button currently leads the championship race with victories in four of the first five races.
