Hikaru Utada Cancels Events in U.S. due to Tonsillitis

Singer Hikaru Utada, 26, wrote on her blog Tuesday that she is suffering from a bout of tonsillitis and apologized for canceling in-store events scheduled for this week in the U.S.
Her blog update – titled "To my fans in America!" – said she has come down with a severe form of tonsillitis and that it happens to her once a twice a year when she is really tired. She said she had been mostly in bed for the past week, visiting a hospital daily to receive intravenous medication.
