Chow Yun-Fat and Other Hong Kong Stars on the Swine Flu and Mexico
International superstar Chow Yun-Fat warned the public that the swine flu could be as serious as the SARS outbreak in 2003 and reminded people to mind their hygiene and be diligent in washing their hands. He said, "Please beware, everyone. Take precautionary measures and be more stringent with your health checks when crossing national boundaries. I will also mind my own hygiene and wash my hands diligently. Seek proper medical treatment even though you are suffering from a minor illness and build up your immunity."
Having been in Mexico, the country where the virus originated, to film the movie Dragonball Revolution, Chow said he found the country clean. When asked if he will refrain from eating pork temporarily, he said, "It's fine not to eat pork. I can still eat canned pork or ensure the meat is entirely cooked before consuming. Germs will also be killed when you brew soup."
