Tang Wei Returns to Mainland Screens
Actress Tang Wei is likely to return to the Chinese mainland to promote her new film "Crossing Hennessy," co-starring Hong Kong singer-actor Jacky Cheung, the "Guangzhou Daily" reports. Despite previously rumored reports of Tang's absence, the film will be screened across the mainland, although its opening date is still unknown, the newspaper says. A teaser trailer for the romantic comedy has already hit some cinemas on the mainland, announcing that the film will be coming out in March.
Lead actress Tang will travel with director Ivy Ho and other cast members to the mainland for promotional activities when the film's release date is set, the newspaper reports, citing an unnamed source at Hong Kong Edko Film Ltd., the movie's production company.
